The 2008 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard (aged in 50% new French oak) exhibits gorgeous scents of raspberries, flowers, forest floor and a hint of graphite. This opulent, rich, medium to full-bodied Pinot is super-pure, beautifully textured and luscious. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years.

Good full red with a hint of amber. Ripe cherry, raspberry and a hint of cotton candy on the nose and palate, complicated by flowers and coffee bean. Dense, supple and sweet, with subtle earth tones adding complexity. Very ripe, fleshy, expressive pinot, finishing with sweet tannins and juicy persistence. The quality and intensity of the pinot fruit was quite variable in 2008 owing to the frost and the number of second shoots, noted Capiaux, but the Garys' and Pisoni vineyards were much less affected.
