Medium vibrant lemon color. Ripe stone fruit leads on the nose, progessing to light floral aromas, along with wet stone and citrus notes. On entry this features a broad silky texture with stone fruit flavors, pulled together nicely by focused acidity and notes of snap pea, green apple, and citrus. With good texture and balance, this is a pleasure to drink now and over the next 5+ years.

Medium bright yellow. Initially somewhat exotic aromas of yellow peach, apricot and spice showed more vibrant stony and floral nuances with aeration. Fat and silky on entry, then suave and dry in the middle, with a lovely light touch to its stone fruit and crushed rock flavors. In comparison, the Truffiere from Vincent's brother Thomas was more stern and earthy, while this was more accessible.

About Winery

Sophie and Vincent Morey both come from families of wine-growers. They set up their own domaine in 2006 and had their first harvest in 2007. When Vincent's father Bernard Morey, a leading personality in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, took his retirement, Vincent took over the a part of the holding. He already had twenty years' experience behind him. After studies at Beaune's "Lycée Viticole" and work-experience at Saint-Emilion in the Bordeaux region, Vincent rejoined the family domaine in 1986.
