Inviting lemon and light gold hue. The aromas are quintessential Chardonnay, with apple, pear and a touch of caramel and white flower blossoms on the bouquet. Once this rich and lush wine hits your palate, it's clear why Cote d'Or wines are so amazing. On entry this offers bright, refreshing, palate cleansing acidity, focusing the prominent tree fruit. Think lighter summer fare from fresh garden produce with fowl and grilled meats, although white Burgundy like this is so versatile, it can stand up with a plethora of cuisines. It certainly left me with a smile on my face.
