A very ripe, exuberantly spicy and plumy nose features some earth influence that is also reflected by the rich, full and very generous medium weight plus flavors that retain a reasonable sense of detail and while this leans in the direction of being stylistically modern, there is a bit more restraint here compared to several of the prior wines. I would suggest cellaring this for 8 to 10 years.

Medium red-ruby. Expressive aromas and flavors of redcurrant, licorice and tobacco. Sweet, suave and broad, with a plumper texture than most of the foregoing samples. Finishes with suave tannins and good subtle persistence.
