Gorgeous ruby red in color; glistens like a gem stone. Room filling aromatics escape from the glass to include the purest nuances of black berry combined with intense floral tones. This is so perfumed and fruit packed as to be very nearly jammy. My notes included the phrase "outstanding aromatics" multiple times. The fruit, structure and overall palate presence mirror the aromatics. Few - if any - Village-level Volnays have captured my attention thus. Outstanding.
