James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, July 2012

Aromas of crushed strawberries and flowers follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and a long, long finish. Very classy for the vintage. Better in 2015.

94 points,

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2012

The 2008 Barolo Nei Cannubi is striking. Freshly cut flowers, mint, spices and sweet red cherries are woven together in a rich, luxurious tapestry of undeniable class. The balance of richness and finesse is fabulous. Silky, polished tannins are barely perceptible, such is the elegance of the fruit. In 2008 the Cannubi is sumptuous, elegant, and flat-out beautiful. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028. -Antonio Galloni

93 points,

Stephen Tanzer's IWC, October 2011

Bright, dark red-ruby. Distinctly feminine, pinot-like aromas of raspberry, flowers and truffley underbrush. Less outsized than the Costa Grimaldi but compellingly silky on the palate; sweet, shapely and sharply delineated but youthfully closed today. Finishes very long, with terrific cut. An elegant, lucid style of Barolo from sandy soil. This bottling has been consistently outstanding in recent years.
