The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is richer and deeper than the 2008. Black cherries, flowers, licorice and spices are some of the nuances that flow from this beautifully articulated wine. Dark spices, menthol and rose petals are layered into the finish. The 2009 could use another few years in bottle, but it is pretty delicious even today. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. -Antonio Galloni

About Winery

Cavus is a family run vineyard nestled in the hillside of the Stag's Leap appellation in Napa Valley, a region is famous for producing earthy, rich, robust Cabernet Sauvignons. Dave Phinney of Orin Swift is the winemaker and Jim Barbour is the vineyard manager. The first release was the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon.
