87% semillon and 13% sauvignon blanc. Heady aromas of blood orange and floral nectar notes seduce on the nose. Still tight on the palate yet lithe and ethereal in texture, this release has more in common with rich, dry white wines from this vintage than its botrytized, dense neighbors. A testament to the wine's balance and overall integration. Lovely and racy right now, and certainly over the next 3-5 years before developing aged characteristics.

The Doisy Daene 2009 is quite delicious now giving intense aromas of lemon marmalade, preserved kumquat, mandarin peel and honeycomb. The palate is big, rich and sweet with a seductive silkiness and around 150 g/l of residual sugar / 14% alcohol. Long in the finish, it only seems slightly lacking in Botrytic character but is nonetheless an enticing wine. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Full yellow-gold color Flamboyant aromas of apricot, candied lemon peel, pear juice, ginger and smoky oak. Glyceral, fat and exotic, with tropical fruit, honey and spice flavors of great richness. If anything, this gained in texture and concentration as it opened in the glass, displaying emerging hints of wasabe and vanillin oak. Finishes wonderfully pure, spicy and long, with compelling sweetness.

Honeyed and spice, with lots of nutmeg, a wine that is packed with flavors, lychee in character, defiantly rich and spicy. - R.V.

Quite high-pitched now, with lots of green plum and green almond notes laced with bright honeysuckle and heather. The background shows more lemon shortbread, grapefruit pâte de fruit and persimmon, while the finish offsets the sweetness with a lively quinine note. Distinctive, but will need time to come together. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Best from 2015 through 2030. -JM
