A more complex and more deeply pitched nose of violets, earth, game and a pretty mix of both red and largely blue berry fruit aromas marries into serious if not somber full-bodied flavors that possess an intense minerality on the mildly austere and impressively long finish. This is quite firm and unlike a number of wines in the range, may not drink quite as well young. Drink: 2021+ - Comments: Outstanding ♥

Ruby approaching garnet at the core. Heady notes of tobacco leaf and forest dominate the nose, with an underpinning of black cherry essence. The forest notes continue through on the palate, leading this tangy, mineral-driven, young Pinot from start to finish. With time and air, spice nuances pick up, and there is a hint of a delicate character. Certainly with time, the fruit core will flush out. Tuck this into your cellar for the next 5-7 years, or decant and drink with food. Beguiling in its youth, I can only imagine what this will become.
