Very dark purple/red from the core until it hits a clear rim. The nose is extremely fresh and filled with brambly blackberry aromas, white grape juice, black cherry, and a fine aromatic layer of spice. For such a ripe year, this Zinfandel shows remarkable restraint on the nose while at the same time exhibiting an intriguing density. On the palate, the juicy blackberry flavors continue with fine, plush tannins and a long finish. This is another big success from Orin Swift and winemaker Dave Phinney.
