Deep red core with a brilliant ruby rim. Aromas of red currant and spice lead into a ripe palate. With its lush mouthfeel, notes of black cherry and red fruit emerge, along with secondary black tea, clove, and hints of cedar, mineral and forest floor. Quite concentrated, this has nice acidity and structure, with good length and gentle tannins to round out the finish. Already showing very well today, this will also cellar well for the next dozen years.
