A notably riper nose of yellow orchard fruit and lemon rind notes stops just short of surmaturité before merging into fresh, nicely detailed and vibrant flavors that are succulent but not heavy, all wrapped in a balanced finish. This has unusually good energy for the appellation, particularly in a ripe vintage like 2009.

The 2009 Chablis Beauroy emerges from a warm vineyard that is among the first to be harvested here. The radiance of the site comes through in layers of soft, textured fruit that blossom on the mid-palate. Clean, mineral notes appear in a conical, beautifully articulated finish. Yellow stone fruit, flowers and smoke linger in the glass. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. -AG
