Aromas of blueberries with hints of vanilla bean and toasted oak. Full body, with velvety tannins and bright acidity. I like the combination of fruit and oak in this. Chewy finish. Give it three or four years of bottle age.

A tasty blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot that came in at 13.5% natural alcohol, this wine displays plenty of cedar wood, loamy soil notes, underbrush and classic black currants and licorice. Well-made, with a supple texture and good fruit, this wine should drink well for 4-5 years.

This isn't shy, with well-toasted spice, mocha and ripe blueberry aromas and flavors leading the way, followed by singed vanilla, sweet plum and fig pate de fruit notes and a long, plush finish. More oomph than zip though; for fans of the ultra-modern style. Drink now through 2017. 5,000 cases made.
