Crimson-purple; an exemplary Margaret River cabernet, awash with delicious cassis and blackcurrant fruit from the word go; fine, ripe, slightly savoury tannins and French oak complete a truly lovely wine.

Containing 6% Malbec, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color and an intensely minty, black currant nose with supporting notes of cloves, anise and dark chocolate. Full bodied with very crisp acid, it has a medium level of velvety tannins and a long menthol laced finish. Drinking now, it should remain vibrant to 2016. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown

It's a perfect drinking cabernet. Serious but accessible. It's all dust and bramble, sweet blackcurrant and gravel. Eucalypt plays a handy role too. I love the smell and the taste but what I particularly admire is the way the fruit lingers through the finish. It gives the wine a delicious lilt. Great value, this.
