"Les Vaucopins" is a premier cru quite unique within the wide range of the Long-Depaquit Estate wines. Located
on the right bank of the Serein river, this plot of vineyard is on the Chichée commune, 3 kilometres east of Chablis. Its terroir resembles that of the grand crus: south exposure, pronounced slopes and numerous Kimmeridgian outcrops.
Winery Tasting Notes:
"Les Vaucopins" premier cru asserts itself by its attractive pale yellow color with soft honeysuckle reflections. It has an expressive and rather powerful mineral-dominating nose. Milk caramel notes combine with an elegantly fine and oaky aroma. An impression of sweetness is detectable; crystallised fruit, apricot, and quince. This beautifully full wine gives way to an ample and finely acidic finale.

A wonderfully fresh and beautifully refined, ultra-pure and elegant nose of floral aromas is nuanced by hints of citrus, green fruit and stone, all of which are picked up by the rich but detailed middle weight flavors that possess ample amounts of oyster shell on the chiseled finish.
