2009 Willakenzie Estate Pinot Noir Aliette
Pinot Noir: 750ml
$43.99
about this wine:
Pinot Noir Aliette is made from a single gently sloped southeast-facing block at an elevation of 570 to 610 feet planted to the Pommard clone in 1992. This vineyard designated wine represents a more feminine style of Pinot Noir, which is complex in fruit, earth, and floral notes. Full-bodied yet smooth on the palate, this wine can be consumed young with strongly flavored foods or cellared for up to ten years. The name honors Bernard Lacroute's mother, wife to Pierre Léon.

Soft tannins surround a lithe core of red berry and cinnamon flavors, showing intensity as this extends into the lovely, refined finish. Needs time to incorporate the tannins. Best from 2014 through 2018.-H.S.
