Like seemingly all of the Lafarge 2010s this is also exceptionally fresh and bright with a mix of wild red berry fruit aromas that reflect subtle hints of warm earth and stone. This is slightly more forthcoming and approachable than the Clos des Chênes as the mid-palate is suave and supple yet the backend tightens up considerably and displays superb intensity on the mouth coating finish. This too should be very special if given enough cellar time.

The 2010 Pommard Pezerolles bursts onto the palate with an exciting array of red berries, orange peel, spices and pomegranate. There is an exotic quality to the Pommard that is striking. Layers of flavor build to a generous, caressing finish. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2030. -Antonio Galloni

Good medium red. High-pitched aromas of black cherry, minerals and licorice. Precise and pure, with a juicy quality to the blackberry and violet flavors. Can't quite match the last couple of samples for pliancy, but this is quite fine for Pommard, and a big success for this cuvee here. Finishes with dusty tannins, slowly building length and noteworthy verve.
