90% semillon, 8% sauvignon blanc, 2% muscadelle. Aged in 55% new oak. This is a real standout, one that left me wanting more. A pale yellow/gold hue hasdeep gold flecks radiating throughout. The aromatics are layered and well delineated, showing darker notes up front of toasted coconut, roasted almond, quince and apricot underscored by notes of acacia & orange blossom. Brighter citrus nuances round out the finish. This is exquisite in texture, combining that signature 2010 concentration and richness while mouthwatering acidity wraps everything up beautifully. This is one that continues to expand in your mouth as you taste. Classically decadent yet regally refined already, this begs for more time in bottle and promises to be rewarding to those who wait. Enjoy now through 25+ years.

Already a slightly dark colore. Beautiful concentration. It's rich and very sweet with intense notes of bitter oranges and honey. Superb finish that long and racy with notes of botrytis.

Very deep gold. Quite good intensity and muscularity. A bit brûlée and dense and chewy. Polished and muscular. Mid to heavy weight and with lots and lots of sugar! Just not an awful lot of subtlety. RS 125 g/l, TA 4 g/l.

The Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey has an ebullient nose of Tropicana, dried honey and quince that intensifies in the glass whilst maintaining impressive definition. The palate is very well-balanced with superb tension and focus, a Sauternes built of minerality and poise, leading to a citrus, almost spicy finish that leaves the mouth tingling with pleasure. -Neal Martin
