Concentrated wine with a curiously smoky/gunflint character plus passion fruit, lemon grass and red capsicum flavours. It has character, length and complexity.

From a vineyard near the town of Blenheim. Moderately intense hints of tangy lemon and subtle notes of fresh herbs dominate the bouquet. Medium weighted textures on the palate highlight savory herbal notes of sage and dried grass that are broad with a sense of richness. Round on the palate, the flavors taper and feather away to a soft finish that emphasizes fruit over acidity and minerality.

Bright medium yellow. Pungent aromas of gooseberry, grapefruit and tropical fruits, complicated by a light veggie quality. Then big, rich and fairly full in the mouth, conveying accurate sauvignon character and impressive size. Finishes with grapefruit and a lightly saline quality. Good stuff.

Offers a wonderful purity of fruit flavors, with zingy passion fruit, lime, grapefruit and melon flavors shining through. The terrific clarity follows onto the long, lip-smacking finish. Drink now. -MW
