Geoffrey Binder, JJ Buckley, April 2011

85% semillon, 15% sauvignon blanc. Aged in 33% new oak. Planted to gravel-dominated soil with sand and clay. This has a soft but fragrant nose with lots of citrus and coconut cream. With good length, moderate depth and a rounded texture, this falls a little short on the finish. Will show well early in its life picking up more weight after about 5 years. Enjoy through 2030.

This is bright with a fresh and vibrant backbone of acidity and palate. The first impression of the palate is full of honey and caramel and the finish is long and silky.

Jancis Robinson, April 2011

Deep orangey gold. Very big and quite beery. Massively sweet - quite an achievement! With the 2010 streak of acidity. Fresh and vigorous but confident and well made. Masses of intrusive acidity. RS 130 g/l, TA 3.9 g/l. 17 out of 20

This has quite a bit of sulphur on the nose at first, but it clears with aeration. It remains tightly-coiled, with lemon, honey, apricot and limestone, demonstrating fine minerality. The palate has great tension on the entry, quite spicy and nutty in style, with a vibrant, zesty finish. This is an exuberant Sigalas-Rabaud with great potential. -Neal Martin

Bright golden yellow. Vibrant nose offers deep aromas of white flowers, mango, peach and orange jam lifted by tangy botrytis. Clean, fresh and stylish, with sweet, juicy flavors of peppery yellow plum, tangerine and banana cream pie. Lively but harmonious acidity gives this wine a touch of austerity on the smooth, long finish. This should greatly repay cellaring.

Densely structured wine, full of honey, cinnamon, and sweetness. The acidity gives just the right counterpoint.
