I like the catchy name, and as a child delighted in this part of the chicken (and still do). With its inky, dense purple colour, it's a wine that offers remarkable value. It is matured in 100% French oak (not much new, I would guess), with satsuma plum and blackberry fruit. The wine does shorten on the finish, but at this price, so what? It may possibly flesh out over the next few years.
