Jancis Robinson, April 2011
Vibrant deep crimson. Aromatic and very fresh and aerienne - more so than most 2010s. Not much density but real lift. Appetising. Though dry as dry on the end!
Neil Mechanic, JJ Buckley, April 2011
82% merlot, 13% cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc. Grown in a combination of deep gravelly soils and calcareous rock. The light but muted nose is still rather primary in its development but should come into its own in another four to six months. Entry is dominated by camphor, menthol and mineral, framed by currant, lead pencil, cigar box and dry powder licorice. This is very linear with a medium-full finish that is long and dry. Drink 2017-2025.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, May 2011
2010: From the property of well-known Professor Denis Dubourdieu, this delicious, supple, silky textured red offers abundant notes of black cherries intermixed with hints of cedarwood and earth. Round and generous, it is ideal for drinking in its first 2-3 years of life.
