This is not quite as elegant as the Caillerets but it's close with a beautiful and well-layered nose of violet, plum and black raspberry. There is excellent volume to the very rich, round and delicious medium weight flavors that brim with tannin-buffering dry extract such that this seems less structured than it really is on the mouth coating and velvety finish. Lovely in every respect.
