Good deep red. A compote of red fruits on the nose, along with hints of marmalade and nutty oak. Then wonderfully silky and sweet in the mouth, like a cocktail of red berries. Maintains good freshness and verve for all its ripeness. A serious tannic spine and noteworthy medicinal reserve give the wine grip and lift on the long, mouthcoating finish. The nose of this wine initially struck me as a bit evolved, but the palate boasts excellent penetration and energy. 92+

Firmly tannic and powerful, this is dominated by a plum skin texture and a spice note. It's dense and rich, with a dry structure and the acidity of the vintage showing on the finish.
