This is also beautifully complex though the composition of the aromas is different as here there is much more in the way of fresh green apple, white flower and mineral reduction scents. And while this is not quite as big or dramatic as the Montrachet, the broad-shouldered flavors don't lack for muscularity, power or intensity, particularly on the driving and explosive finish that is bone dry and exhibits the classic austerity of a very young and backward Corton-Charlemagne. Impressive and unapologetically built to age.
