Pretty nose with ripe strawberries, red cherries and vanilla. Almost stewed. Full body, with round tannins and a fruity finish. A little one-dimensional and jammy now but should come around nicely. Drink from 2015.

Le Moulin opens with coffee, blackberry and plum scents. In the mouth, this mediuml bodied wine finishes with coffee and dark berries.

A sexy wine from proprietor Michel Querre, the 2010 Moulin is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It has an exotic toasty note intermixed with sensual and seductive notes of caramel, Asian spice and black cherry jam as well as hints of plum sauce and incense. Its complex aromatics are followed by a deep, luscious, succulently styled wine that is medium to full-bodied without a hard edge to be found. It is hard to resist already, and for that reason should be consumed over the next 10-15 years.

A dark, sultry wine, with a smoky frame to the crushed plum, anise and blackberry fruit core, while ganache and black tea weave in on the finish. Offers a velvety feel, but there's solid grip and good minerally cut running underneath. Best from 2015 through 2025. -JM
