64% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot, 12% cabernet franc, and 3% petit verdot. Aged between 12 and 18 months in approximately 40% new oak. I like the nose on this wine which features perfumed aromas of red berry, baking chocolate, and allspice. The medium-weight effort displays earth on the palate to complement the red fruit. High toned and pretty, this wine reveals a long and nicely tannic finish.

Very dark. Rather modest, restrained putty nose. Sweet and easy. Should be very attractive in the medium term but not one of the most ambitious. Tasted later that same day: Light, relaxed, quite eloquent. Lots of Cabernet freshness. Relatively lightweight. Chewy finish...

A bright, floral style, with violet and singed iron notes up front, followed by silky-textured red currant, black cherry and damson plum fruit. An iron note frames he finish. -J.M.
