about this wine:
Tclass="content_section">he wonderful exposure enjoyed by the Vosne Romanée premier cru "Les Orveaux" vineyards endows these wines with a deep ruby colour and aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants and raspberries.
Their robust and richly perfumed bouquet imbues them with a character at once silky and rustic. Their freshness and mellowness, combined with a certain sensuous vinosity renders them a worthy rival to other Vosne Romanée premier crus. This is a supremely well-balanced wine.
These structured, balanced wines should be allowed to harmoniously mature for 4 to 6 years before drinking, even 8 years in the case of the great vintages.

The composition of the nose is similar to that of the Vosne villages though here it's a bit more elegant and slightly fresher as well. There is good mid-palate fat and a touch of minerality that adds interest to the solidly precise and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a dusty and naturally sweet finish. I like the balance and interestingly the sweetness is balanced off by just a touch of austerity.
