This is more aromatically complex still with a beautifully floral nose of rose petal, violet and lavender as well as liqueur of red currant and black cherry. The hallmark minerality of this wine is very much in evidence on the palate staining flavors that possess a silky and highly sophisticated mouth feel while culminating in a dusty, explosive and gorgeously long finish. This does that wonderful slow build from the mid-palate to the finale and this should age exceptionally well. - Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding ♥

Bright red with ruby highlights. Musky red raspberry, mocha and underbrush on the nose; more gamey and earthy and less fruity than the Clos de la Bousse d'Or. Silky on entry, then dense and rich in the middle, showing more thickness than the Bousse d'Or but less lift. Round and fairly large-scaled but does it have enough verve for extended cellaring? 91+
