Vineyards are planted to 80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc. This wine highlights dark fruit qualities with aromas of blackberry and roasted spice on the nose and palate. Avoiding overripe qualities, the midpalate is round and buttressed by just the right amount of tannins that add structure to the finish. Best between 2021-2024.

Fascinating wine with dark fruit and citrus undertones. Full and refined. Lovely finish.

Very sweet and rich. Quite winning and it seems to utilise the concentration of 2010 without going over the top. 17 out of 20

2010: One of the finest Tertre Daugays I have tasted (although the 2009 is also attractive), this sleeper of the vintage exhibits a dense purple color as well as copious aromas of sweet kirsch, black fruits, licorice and graphite. Medium to full-bodied with a corpulent, layered mouthfeel, light to moderate tannins and a spicy, heady finish, it should drink well for 10-12 years.

This has the rich, dark blueberry and blackberry fruit of the vintage, with ample graphite and spice and a solid, tannic backbone. Toasty, but with flesh. -J.M.
