The 2010 Pinot Grigio Jesera is very nicely done. A rich, textured fabric of varietal fruit caresses the palate in this generous, expansive white. For the first time I note a slightly more intense shade in the color here, suggesting that Venica is following the increasingly popular retro trend of giving the Pinot Grigio a little bit of contact on the skins. This is a very pretty showing from Venica. A clean, poised finish gives the wine its sense of balance and harmony. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.
