65% sauvignon blanc, 35% semillon. Aged in a combination of one-third each of new, one-year and two-year old oak. Planted on deep gravel soils atop clay. Filled with lemon oil and grapefruit aromas, plus loads of high-toned focused citrus. Hits the palate with clean bright and focused notes and shows a surprisingly long and vibrant finish with lots of crushed sea shell flavor and chalky minerality. Enjoy upon release and over the following 7-8 years.

Vivid pale straw-green. Captivating nose of white peach, minerals and white flowers. Bright, deep and dense, with juicy flavors of citrus, quince and white peach framed by a strong mineral quality on the multilayered palate. Very fresh and pure on the long, refined finish. This is a very successful, intense Carbonnieux that should age well.

Very herbaceous in character, this is a wine that is packed with powerful acidity yet remains elegant in style. It has minerality and tight acidity, and should benefit from aging. - R.V.

Riveting acidity carries the sweet pea, māche, chalk and kaffir lime notes in this superracy, light-bodied version.-J.M.
