57% cabernet sauvignon, 20% cabernet franc, 21% merlot, and 2% petit verdot. Ruby red color, with an alluring bouquet of strawberry and cherry. The palate is pleasant, but not as full as the bouquet might suggest. A slightly tangy note overrides the fruit's initial sweetness. Solid tannin and acid are present but this needs more time to fully integrate all the elements. Enjoy from 2015-2020.

About Winery

The Château d'Aurilhac vineyard is situated on one of the most beautiful terroirs of the Saint Seurin commune in Cadourne. Extending over 11 hectares, it is planted on a gravelly clay-limestone plateau. In 1983, Erik Nieuwall completely replanted the entire vineyard, and with a combination of hard work and stubbornness, he has succeeded in producing wines that have been extremely well received by both professional wine tasters and the specialist press.
