43% cabernet sauvignon, 33% merlot, 19% cabernet franc, and 5% petit verdot. Aged for approximately 16 months in 45% new oak. Deep purple core with a beautiful garnet rim. A strong bouquet with a touch of powdered sugar and mocha chocolate that nicely complement an alluring assortment of black fruit aromas. Big and soft on the palate, with blackberry, cassis, and plum carrying over nicely through the finish. High in both acidity and tannin, yet more or less in balance. Enjoy 2015-2025.

This is really well done with soft tannins and berry, cherry and chocolate character. Full body, with round tannins. This year has more Cabernet Franc with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot.

The du Tertre is a blend of 10% Merlot, 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 20% Cabernet Franc (a high percentage) picked from 8th to 27th September. I actually left my sample glass to unwind over 10 minutes at it made a huge difference. The nose offers ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit, well integrated oak and some lovely orange blossom aromas with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a plush, rounded entry. It has slightly lower acidity than its peers but is very sensual with supple fresh strawberry and raspberry towards the finish. Very fine.

Forward, with juicy fruit that offers plenty of acidity and seemingly-soft tannins, this is a wine that should develop easily and quickly.

Modern style, with bolder plum, cassis and raspberry fruit flavors laced with roasted balsam wood and black tea. Nicely polished on the finish.-J.M.
