70% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot, and 5% cabernet franc. The vineyard comprises 32 hectares, with a planting density of 6,666 vines per hectare, and yields of 45 hl/ha. Harvest is by hand. Aged between 16-20 months in 40% new oak. Bright crimson color throughout. A touch of green underbrush scents on the nose along with some sulfur, which makes the wine a bit tough to evaluate at this young stage. Bittersweet chocolate with red currant on the palate. A hint of mint keeps this bright and fresh. Nervy acidity and a somewhat tannic finish. Enjoy 2017-2025.

A little reductive but some good fruit underneath. Full and chewy. Hard to taste now.
Wine Spectator, April 2012
Light and friendly, with soft-edged plum, tea and incense notes that linger gently through the finish.-J.M.
