Very pretty length to this with silky tannins and a juicy finish. Medium to full body, with fine tannins and a fresh acidity.

Planted to 65% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 10% cabernet franc on 22 hectares of gravelly soil adjacent to Haut-Batailley, owned by Xavier Borie of Grand-Puy-Lacoste. Generally aged in 55% new French oak. Deep ruby, with a nose of black cherry, cassis, raspberry, and a slight hint of oak. Medium to full-bodied, this wine offers a spicy profile with a medium-plus finish. Nicely textured with balanced acidity. Enjoy 2015-2025.
