89 -90 points,

James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, April 2012

Balanced and harmonious with chocolate and plum character. Medium to full body, with lovely round tannins.

Neil Mechanic, JJ Buckley, April 2012

Planted to 80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc. Average vine age is 35 years, planted in clay and gravel soils. Forceful green herbal note to the nose. Shows kirsch and currant flavors on entry, plus subtle mocha espresso and licorice. A minty note seasons this merlot and cabernet franc blend, while tannins are supple and not overly drying. This is ready to be enjoyed now. A good value proposition best consumed 5-6 years after arrival and over the following 5-10 years.

89 -91 points,

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2012

Deep ruby/purple-colored with smoky notes of roasted herbs, sweet, meaty, plump black cherries and plums, medium to full body, silky tannins and adequate acidity, the exotic, flamboyant 2011 Le Moulin has performed well in this somewhat difficult vintage. It should drink well for 10-12 years.
