Somewhat fatter and more lushly textured than the Loring's 2011 Pinots from more southerly climes, this one from the Keefer Ranch Vineyard is an obvious and generously filled effort that teases with sweetness by way of rich oak and very ripe fruit. It makes up in richness for what it lacks in finesse, and, while it is not one to tag for a long stay in the cellar, it will provide satisfying drinking with savory stews over the next several years.
