80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. Aged in one-third new oak. 4.6 hectares planted in clay and limestone soil with the average vine age is 35 years. Harvest began on September 10th and finished up on October 2nd. The nose shows a very traditional style, with notes of pretty red fruit, subtle floral aromas, and only mild wood influence. This is elegant, balanced, and pleasant, with well integrated tannins, acidity, and oak. Nice length on the finish, this is a wine that will drink well on release and over the next 10+ years.
