The NV Brut Rose de Saignee is a big, rich wine loaded with fruit. This expansive, full-bodied Champagne offers terrific depth and richness, with a long, and exceptionally pure finish. Like all rose de saignee wines, this is best enjoyed at the dinner table. Make no mistake about it, this is a serious rose from Jose Dhondt. All the wine requires is a little advance aeration to show at its finest. The estate's rose is made from Pinot Noir grown in Saudoy. No disgorgement date provided. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.

Bright pink with a strong mousse. Powerful raspberry and cherry preserve aromas are brightened by stony mineral and tangerine qualities. Weighty red berry flavors stain the palate and are braced by a faintly bitter note of cherry pit. The smooth finish boasts very good clarity and thrust. This is rich enough to handle full-flavored foods.
