A now fully mature nose speaks of ripe yet cool dark berry fruit, earth, stone and a mineral component that carries over to the rich and equally ripe medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate density and excellent length on the velvety finish. This is really quite good in the context of the vintage and while it's drinking very well now it could certainly be held for a few more years first if desired as it has only just reached its apogee. In a word, lovely. Tasted twice in the last few years with consistent results.
