Black fruits are interspersed with licorice and earth in the nose of the medium to full-bodied 2002 Chambertin Clos de Beze. This concentrated deep noble wine is crammed with perfectly ripe fruit and tannin. Loads of blackberries licorice plums black cherries stones and flowers can be discerned in its complex flavor profile. Its finish described in my notes as â_ocompletely unrealâ__ is exceedingly long fruit-filled and suave. A delicious infusion of i terroir n and fruit highlights this intense backward red. It's muscular evoking cherry tobacco and mineral aromas and flavors wrapped in its vivid firm structure.
