Picked on October 28, bottled with 28 grams of residual sugar and aged 12 years now, the 2004 Riesling Schlossberg Cuvée Ste Catherine L'Inédit! displays a beautifully matured and very elegant bouquet of toasted butter, dried apricots, ripe nectarines and peaches. Rich, intense and elegant on the palate, with a lush sweetness, but also a nice bitterness from the tannins. Also with some refreshing minty flavors, this is a great food wine (think of lobster!) and it should still be great in 20, 30 or even more years. - Stephan Reinhardt
