Intense aromas of blueberries blackberries and fresh mushrooms. Full body with chewy tannins and a fresh clean finish. Character goes from minerals to flowers to wet earth. Goes tannic. Need another three to four years of bottle age to open.

The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is a deep intense wine laced with black cherries minerals crushed flowers and violets. This shows superb polish and elegance all the way through to the textured expansive finish. La Rasina's Brunello is one of the more opulent wines of the vintage but all of the elements come together quite nicely especially with some time in the glass. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.
