Long lean and mineral with a pristine perfume of violets cassis and fresh cedar/vanilla oak backed by nuances of liqueur plums black cherries and dark chocolates. Smooth and supple with a juicy expression of marginally baked fruit tightly knit with pencil shavings oak and a firm backbone it finishes with refreshing acidity and a hint of graphite.

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has just 5% Malbec blended-in. Very deep garnet-purple colored it gives pronounced blackberry / black currant and bay leaf notes with some dark chocolate and a whiff of cigar boxes. Concentrated crisp and full bodied with a medium level of very fine tannins it has a nice long finish. Just beginning to drink now it should develop nicely over 3-7 years and cellar to 2018+. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown
