The 2007 Dolcetto d'Alba Solatio is a dark inky offering loaded with jammy black fruits licorice leather chocolate menthol and minerals. Today the wine comes across as quite dense and needing at least another year or so in bottle in order to develop the full range of its aromatics. The estate makes its Dolcetto d'Alba Solatio only in vintages that allow for a late harvest from old low-yielding plants in the Brea vineyard in Serralunga.
