A big rich flashy Pinot Noir softly sweet and fruity in raspberries cherries sandalwood and spices. A hint of tannins and crisp acidity provide the balance for good structure. Best over the next few years for youthful freshness. S.H.

There is a slight streak of earth and burnt toast that gets in the way of this wine's expression of very ripe black cherry fruit and while some might call it complexing others might well find it a bit of a bane. We confess to giving it the benefit of the doubt because we are quite convinced by the wine's solidity depth and richness and while it is not one for milder fare it will shine with a well-seasoned rack of lamb.
