Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, August 2011

The 2008 Art Series Shiraz is intensely scented of black pepper and black cherries with nuances of ripe blueberries, baking spices, dusty earth and licorice. Medium bodied with a medium level of rounded tannins, it has...

Wine Spectator, June 2011

On the lighter side, displaying juicy raspberry and red pepper flavors on an open texture, with refined tannins wrapping around the extended finish. This has grace and impressive persistence. Drink now through 2018. 200...

Leeuwin Estate is a family-owned Australian winery and one of the five founding wineries in the now famous Margaret River district of Western Australia. Formerly a cattle ranch, the property was converted to vineyards by Denis and Tricia Horgan upon the advice of legendary Napa Valley winemaker Robert Mondavi when he visited Australia and saw the estate’s potential as being ideal for the production of premium wines.

The estate enjoyed its first commercial vintage in 1979 and was quickly thrust into the international spotlight when Decanter Magazine gave its highest recommendation to the 1980 "Art Series" Chardonnay. Leeuwin now exports to 30 markets. The estate releases wines under the Art Series, Prelude Vineyards and Siblings labels.

Celebrating the combination of fine wine, food, art and music, Leeuwin features an award winning restaurant, cellar door and art gallery. The estate is renowned for staging spectacular events and welcoming visitors from around the world.
