Tasted from a sample prepared by Romain Taupenot. From the lieux-dits of “Les Duresses” and “Les Grand Champs”, this excellent Auxey-Duresses has a sedate, truffle-tinged bouquet with black cherry, developing some black olive aromas of time. The palate is dense, tannic and masculine, good depth, grippy finish. Don’t be surprised if this lasts 15-20 years. Tasted November 2010. (90-92 points)
