Very textured, this is a complex wine. There is a strong sense of minerality here, along with flavors of ripe apricots, peaches and grapes. This is a wine for serious aging so don’t drink before 2017.

A very ripe and broad style, with intense pineapple, passion fruit and mango notes, featuring a broad finish that takes on a toasted almond frame and a light accent of spiced nutmeg. For fans of the bigger style. Best... Planted to clay-limestone soils. This citrus dominated style displays light notes of botrytis and is bright and focused from front to back. A good sense of sweetness is present without being cloying thanks to the high acids and the mouthfeel gives the impression of a light bodied wine. Enjoyable and linear but very light on the botrytis notes. Enjoy through 2035.

17.5/20 Fresh fruit, really thick and unctuous mouthfeel, fragrant spice on the finish. White chocolate. Indulgently sweet, but with a nice citric tang to finish. (RH)

Deeper in color than its peers, the Doisy-Vedrines 2010 has an animated bouquet with strong scents of tangerine, pink grapefruit and dried honey, although it is missing some delineation and refinement of one of Olivier Casteja’s best vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with a more promising viscous opening of tangy marmalade and quince. It actually improves in the mouth, with a defined and spicy finish. Hopefully, the aromatics will muster something to say with bottle age, as the palate is commendable. Drink now-2028. 90+ - NEAL MARTIN
